St. Paul's will host a choral evensong on Sunday, September 10, at 4:30 p.m. to mark the opening of the 49th annual American Institute of Organbuilders Convention. All are welcome! Our 1926 E. M. Skinner pipe organ will be featured, mid-way through its comprehensive restoration project. The Parish Choir will sing music of Philip Radcliffe, Joanna Forbes L’Estrange and Henry Balfour Gardiner. Evensong is a form of Evening Prayer that draws from the medieval Latin offices of Vespers and Compline. This service is unique to churches of the Anglican Communion and has remained unchanged for centuries.
