The Zephyrus Early Music Ensemble, directed by Megan Sharp, will sing Choral Evensong for the 7:30 p.m. service on Sunday, February 19, with music by William Byrd, Thomas Weelkes and Cecilia McDowall. Evensong is a form of Evening Prayer that draws from the medieval Latin offices of Vespers and Compline. This service is unique to churches of the Anglican Communion and has remained unchanged for centuries. Most of the service is sung by the choir, and is sung to special choral settings of the liturgy.
